WADA opens call for new independent member of Compliance Review Committee
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has launched a call for candidates to fill a newly created Independent Member seat on its Compliance Review Committee (CRC).
The CRC oversees WADA’s efforts to monitor compliance by Signatories with the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards. The additional seat was created by WADA’s Foundation Board in July 2026 to support Chair succession planning, strengthen the Committee’s independence and further diversify its expertise.
Candidates must demonstrate senior-level experience in complex compliance or regulatory matters, or possess legal qualifications with relevant exposure to litigation or dispute resolution. They must also have an impeccable reputation, demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and ethics, and have the ability and interest to assume the position of CRC Chair in the future.
Applicants must meet WADA’s operational, personal and organizational independence requirements throughout their appointment.
The successful candidate is expected to begin a three-year term on 1 January 2027. Applications, including a motivation letter, updated CV, completed Declaration of Independence Form and confirmation of availability, must be submitted by 28 August 2026.
The creation of the new seat reflects the growing importance of independent oversight, regulatory expertise and institutional integrity within the global anti-doping system.
